Enjoying a knees up to help people with dementia

Rob George 9th Dec, 2018   0

MEMBERS of Evesham Dementia Action Alliance enjoyed a ‘Knees Up, Teas Up’ event to bring people living with dementia and their carers together.

Local people joined organisers at Norton Village Hall for a bit of fun, music, coffee or tea, cakes and a raffle. An afternoon of knees up music was on offer from The Big Ben Banjo Band with a Christmas theme.

The EDAA wants Evesham to build upon the ‘Working to become Dementia Friendly’ status achieved in November 2017 and turn understanding of dementia into action and make a lasting difference for people living with the condition.

A alliance spokesperson said: “If everyone does a little, then together we can achieve a lot and Make Evesham an increasingly ‘Dementia Friendly Town’.”

The EDAA plans to organise another knees-up teas-up event on May 22.
