TOWN residents are being invited to enjoy coffee and cake at a Pershore retirement home to raise cash for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Churchill Retirement Living is organising the event as part of Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning campaign at its Nightingale Lodge development on Defford Road on Thursday from 11am.

Visitors will be treated to coffee, cakes and biscuits in the owner’s’ lounge as the developer continues its eight-year relationship with the charity which has seen it raise more than £300,000 nationwide.

Tracy Evans, marketing executive for Churchill Retirement Living said: “The events are not only a fantastic way to raise money for a very worthy cause but also an opportunity to get the local community together.

“We have set an ambitious fund-raising target of £35,000 for Macmillan this year and we hope people in Pershore will join us at Nightingale Lodge to support the great work the charity does.”
