A VALE village is holding a beer and cider festival in a bid to raise vital funds for the refurbishment of the local club.
The festival kicks off at the Lenches Club in Church Lench today (Friday) and is part of a number of events at the club across the Bank Holiday weekend.
A number of local breweries will be showcasing their beers and ciders at the festival, including Hook Norton, Purity, Boat Lane and Hogans. There will also be a range of cocktails and gins on offer.
On Monday, a family fun day and market will be taking place at the club which will feature more than 15 stalls with local makers, growers and independent businesses.
There will be activities for the youngsters to enjoy, a bouncy castle, live music, raffle, tombola and a barbecue using locally sourced burgers and sausages.
Entry is free to all the events across the weekend as organisers hope to raise as much money as possible for the club’s refurbishment next year, which will also be the club’s 70th anniversary year.
Suzy Clarke, club secretary, said: “This year to raise much needed funds for our even more needed refurbishment we have gone bigger than we ever have before with a celebration of all that is good in the Vale.”
