Elves full of fun at charity fund-raiser

Evesham Editorial 3rd Dec, 2021   0

A PAIR of Evesham elves will be raising vital funds for Alzheimer’s Society at their town painting studio.

Kaz Bonham and Annie Craghill of Kaz and Annie’s Ceramics and More will be donning their festive elf ears, tights and jingly shoes to mark Elf Day and help change the lives of the 9,600 people living with dementia in Worcestershire

They are also inviting visitors to paint their very own Elf on the Shelf to support the charity

They are among several local fund-raisers who have signed up for Alzheimer’s Society’s Elf Day from today (Friday), where participants are encouraged to get creative with their festive celebrations in the name of charity.

People can fund-raise in a variety of ways, from dressing up, organising festive bake sales or hosting a Christmas-themed event, anytime throughout December.

Kaz and Annie will be hosting a very special Elf Day tomorrow (Saturday) at 18 Vine Mews in Evesham.

The duo regularly lead workshops and are certified tutors for Powertex and expert elves. There will be a wide range of pottery and decopatch items with something to suit all ages and all pockets

“There are lots of activities planned that are suitable for children and adults. We’re really looking forward to the arrival of the “Elf on the Shelf”, which you can paint in your own style, knowing that your creativity will help our fund-raising,” Kaz said.

“There will be many more activities on the day, and a lot of fun and silliness, so come along and support a great cause.

Local residents are being urged to join Kaz and Annie by donning their favourite Christmas outfit for Elf Day, following a devastating period for people affected by dementia.

Hazel Bayley, Alzheimer’s Society Area Manager in the West Midlands said: “We are in awe of our amazing supporters like Kaz and Annie, and their efforts to spread cheer and raise money for Alzheimer’s Society.

“Elf Day is a great way to get people together to celebrate the festive season, and it’s so easy to take part. You can dress up as much or as little as you like. You could keep it simple in red and green or jingle all the way with pointy ears and curly shoes.”
