ELECTRICITY chiefs have apologised after Evesham residents were hit by a power cut in the early hours.
Homeowners and businesses across the WR11 postcode were affected by the outage which took place at about 5am this morning (Wednesday).
Despite saying power was restored just after 7am, National Grid UK customers – the new name for Western Power Distribution – received further calls from homeowners who remained without power.
A fault at the town’s sub-station was identified with the power now expected to have returned for the whole town.
