POLICE have seized an e-scooter in Evesham after a targeted operation to crack down on the illegal use of the vehicles.
Yesterday (Wednesday, August 28) three Evesham officers were out and about on patrol when they seized the e-scooter (pictured).
West Mercia officers – PC Jonathan Haynes, PC Adam Johns and PC Martin Kennedy – led the targeted crack down.
Although, e-scooters are not illegal to own they cannot be ridden on public roads without tax and insurance – something which is currently impossible to obtain.
