POLICE patrols have been stepped up in Peopleton after two large trailers were abandoned in a lay-by on the A44.

PCSO Stirling and PCSO Doughty have conducted the high visibility patrols after the incident which officers from Pershore Rural Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) believe may ave links to illegal fly-tipping and waste dumping on the A44.

The trailers have been reported to Wychavon District Council for removal.

As well as patrols continuing, Pershore Police have urged anyone who spots these types of crimes to get in touch.

Officers said: “We would really value your support to identify the people responsible by reporting anything suspicious.

“It is only by our communities and the police working together than we can reduce crime.”

Anyone who sees any suspicious activity in their area should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 to report it.
