Drugs seized following Pershore drugs warrants

POLICE in Pershore raided two homes on Monday (June 26) as part of attempts to clamp down on organised crime across the region.

During the searches carried out in Rail Ground, Pershore with a dogs unit and specialist entry team, officers found and seized suspected class A drugs, cannabis, devices and sim cards suspected as being used in the process of drug dealing, a knife, a BB gun and a transaction machine.

The warrants were carried out following intelligence given to police after the commencement of Operation Target, a West Mercia Police programme to tackle serious and organised crime in partnership with other agencies.

Pershore Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) suggest they are working ‘tirelessly’ to root out those responsible for those types of crime in the area.

Inspector Dave Wise, Pershore SNT, said: “We want everyone to feel safe in our area and we will continue to work collectively to ensure suspected drug-related activity is stamped out in Pershore.”

Pershore SNT have been visiting local residents in the area to offer reassurance following the raids

Police have urged anyone who suspects the growing or selling of drugs in their area to contact their local SNT.

Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
