CARING friends from Pershore have started a gruelling driving challenge through some of Europe’s biggest destinations to raise money for charity.
Kim Marshall and Hayley Reynolds set off for the five-day event yesterday (Thursday) in aid of the MS (Multiple Sclerosis) Society.
The pair, who aim to raise around £2,000 for the cause, will travel more than 1,800 miles driving through cities in Switzerland, Austria, the Czech Republic, Germany and France.
On Tuesday (September 23) afternoon Kim and Hayley met with friends and family at a special farewell and good luck gathering at The Pickled Plum Pub in High Street.
The pair have already raised more than £1,000 and will use the journey to conquer their fears with Kim nervous about driving abroad and on the other side of the road and Hayley who has been fearful of driving for quite some time.
