DOUBLE Olympic Champion and former Prince Henry’s student Alex Gregory returned to the school to inspire pupils following his success in Rio.
The rower, who struck gold again at the Rio Olympics in the summer with the Men’s Coxless Four, talked to students about how he sat exactly where they were between 1997 and 2002 when he was a pupil at the Victoria Avenue school.
He also showed off his two gold medals, one of which he picked up in the same event at London 2012, in a series of special assemblies.
Speaking to pupils, Alex said: “Make the most of every opportunity that comes your way because one of them could change your life. I only had a go at rowing because one of my friends thought I would like it.”
