LABOUR Party chiefs manned a stall in Port Street to reminded Vale shoppers of the importance of being on the electoral roll
With a General Election potentially imminent, Evesham residents are being encouraged to register to vote.
Local members of Evesham Labour set up stall to the spread the message that people need to be on the electoral register to vote.
According to the Electoral Commission millions of people in the UK still aren’t registered to vote, despite being eligible.
Local member Helen Russell said: “Millions of people aren’t registered to vote in the UK – and if you’re not registered, you can’t vote and have your say locally and nationally.
“We’re urging anyone not yet registered to do so straight away. Registering to vote is easy to do online and only takes a few minutes.”
