Dogs have their day at The Valley's Christmas parade

HUNDREDS of people and their four-legged friends put their best foot and paw forward for the Christmas dog parade at The Valley.

Both owners and their dogs dressed up in festive outfits for the event which was held last Sunday (December 11).

Poodles dressed as elves, a Bichon Frise dressed as a snowman and a pug donned a Father Christmas outfit whilst being pulled along in a custom made sledge.

And due to the success of this year’s event, a parade for Christmas 2017 is already being planned.

The Valleys marketing manager, Phil Maclean, said: “We have over 100 acres of the countryside surrounding The Valley which attracts scores of daily dog walkers, so we thought the event might go down well.

“We were overwhelmed by the turnout and the effort people went too. It created a great festive atmosphere and showed the very best side of the good British humour.”
