MOTORISTS are being warned the A46 in Evesham could be closed into this evening following a serious collision this morning.
The arterial road remains shut between the A435 (Evesham) and the A4184 ( Teddington Hands) following a serious collision.
All emergency services are still working at the scene with a response being led by West Mercia Police.
The road is likely to remain closed for sometime to allow police to complete collision investigation works at the scene.
Diversions are in place as follows:
Northbound:
At the junction of the A46 with B4077 (Teddington Hands Roundabout) take the exit to the B4077 eastbound.
Continue along the B4077 eastbound to its roundabout junction with A44
Take the 1st exit to the A44 westbound and continue to the A46.
Northbound traffic from the B4078 at Sedgeberrow to be directed to the A46 southbound and Teddington Hands Roundabout.
Southbound:
At the junction of A46 and A4148 take the exit to A46 northbound.
At the junction of A46 and A44 take the 3rd exit to A44 eastbound (Broadway Road).
Continue along the A44 to its roundabout junction with B4632.
Take the 3rd exit to B4362 and continue along Evesham road , Station road , Cheltenham Road.
At the roundabout junction of B4632 and B4077 take the 3rd exit to B4077 westbound.
Continue along the B4077 to the A46 at Teddington Hands Roundabout.
For Sedgeberrow take the 4th exit to A46 northbound.
