Disruption from Evesham powercut should be over by midday say Western Power

Rob George 27th Jul, 2022   0

WESTERN Power Distribution (WPD) has apologised after a power cut affecting properties in the WR11 postcode across Evesham.

Homes were left without power at 6.39am this morning (Wednesday)  with 1,362 of the 2,084 properties affected restored with four minutes.

A total of 722 properties were left without power as engineers tackled a fault with an overhead wire but 241 properties were restored by 7am.

WPD had hoped to restore full power to the area by 8am but is currently dealing with six remaining properties in the WR11 2PR and WR11 4BP which are without electricity.

It’s estimated those properties should see power restored by midday.
