Discover your family tree for free

Evesham Editorial 28th Feb, 2021   0

COUNTY residents are being encouraged to trace their ancestry for free with the help of Worcestershire Libraries and Archive and Archaeology Service.

If you’ve ever thought about building your family tree but have no idea where to start, help is on hand.

Customers can book a place on a free ‘Research your Family Tree’ webinar on 18 March to learn how to conduct research for free from home.

Throughout lockdown Worcestershire Libraries and Archives and Archaeology Service have provided free remote access to two key family history research websites: Ancestry.co.uk and Find My Past, formerly only available from public computers in libraries and at The Hive in Worcester.

They have also hosted a number of sell-out webinars to help budding historians get to grips with the free resources and succeed in their research.

Following unprecedented demand, a new webinar date has been added on March 18 after previous dates sold out within hours.
