A MUCH-LOVED Evesham couple have recently celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary.
Retired local vet James Jarvis and wife Pat were married in Bedford in 1960 after meeting at the London University Valentine’s Day ball.
James, known to friends as Jim, had just qualified as a vet and Pat was working in the university.
After several houses in the London area, including West Drayton, Ryeslip, Ickenham and Croydon they moved to Southend on Sea with their four children, Mark, Liz, Clare and Emma.
In 1977 Jim purchased the Coopers Lane veterinary practice and practised there for more than 30 years.
The popular couple still live independently at their home on Greenhill and the family to now include nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
