Evesham Editorial 31st Oct, 2023 Updated: 31st Oct, 2023   0

THE DEADLINE to apply for high school places in Worcestershire next year is midnight tonight (Tuesday)

For Primary, First, Infant, Junior and Middle schools, parents have until January 15, 2024.

Coun Tracey Onslow, cabinet member  for Education at Worcestershire County Council said, “Starting school and the move to the next stages of education are important and exciting steps in the lives of children and young people.

“We aim to make this change as smooth as possible. Every child that has applied for a place, on time, will receive an offer of a school place.

“Therefore, it is especially important that application deadlines are met, to maximise the potential of receiving an offer at one of your preferred schools for 2024.”

Parents and carers can apply for their child’s school place via a secure online portal any time before midnight on the relevant deadline day.

If you do not have access to the internet, Worcestershire Libraries offer free computer use and Wi-Fi access at all their libraries.
