STUDENTS at The De Montfort School had a Christmas Jumper Day to raise funds for the Interact Rotary charity appeal, which is raising money to construct a twin toilet block in a school in the Trincomalee area of Sri Lanka, which has been badly affected by war.
The TDMS Interact Group are busy fund-raising for this purpose and need to raise a total of £1,000. The Christmas Jumper Day has been a huge boost to this fund raising with students raising £628
Additionally, students at TDMS donated 84 shoe boxes full of goodies for children, adults and pets to the Worcestershire Homeless Appeal.
A school spokesperson said: “Congratulations to all tutor groups who filled boxes up for the appeal.”
