WEST WORCESTERSHIRE MP Dame Harriett Baldwin has called for local people to have their say as the search to find a permanent home for Pershore’s banking hub continues.
A temporary solution was installed at the town’s library nearly two years ago as Lloyds on Broad Street – the final bank to operate in the town – shut its doors.
The temporary home is performing above expectations according to Cash Access, the company tasked with rolling out the nationwide network of banking hubs to replace the dwindling high street bank network.

The building is owned and managed by the town council.
The MP met with Treasury minister Lucy Rigby MP to discuss the challenges facing the local community securing a permanent home for the banking hub in the middle of the town.
Dame Harriett has also met with Cash Access on several occasions and now launched a survey to encourage people to have their say on where the new permanent home should be.
“I met with the treasury minister to share my concerns as Cash Access appears to be very slow to react and have, from time to time, missed out on opportunities to move into sites in the centre of Pershore.
“We will soon celebrate the second anniversary of the opening of the temporary home in the library and although it is performing well, it is time to hear local people’s views.
“It may be that people want it to stay where it is, yet others will want it to be sited on Broad Street or the High Street,” she said.
The MP said that she is due to meet with Cash Access and the minister again in a couple of weeks and plans to share the results with them.
Residents and businesses in Pershore can share their views by going to the short online survey here.
