Cyclists prove they're fit enough to raise hundreds

CYCLISTS didn’t let the rain dampen their spirits when they took part in the annual Bredon Hill Bikeaway to raise hundreds of pounds for two local causes.

Starting at Pershore College, and after being waved off by the Pershore division of St John Ambulance’s President Henry Sandon MBE, the cyclists clocked up almost 2000 miles to raise £700 for the division and the Vale of Evesham Community First Responders.

Tomas Davies, Unit Manager for Pershore, said: “We are really grateful to everyone who continues to support us.

“The Bikeaway is a major fundraising event for these two worth while charities, and everyone without question has a great time, as well as keeping fit.

“We are so fortunate to live in such a picturesque area and appreciate the fact that people travel from all over the West Midlands to take part – thank you.”
