Cyclist injured after hit-and-run in Evesham

A CYCLIST has been injured following a hit-an-run in Evesham last night.

The male cyclist in his 50’s crashed with a small dark car on Vine Street at about 7pm, and the car failed to stop.

The make and model of the car are currently unknown.

The cyclist suffered from hand injuries as a result of the crash which are not thought to be life changing or life threatening. An ambulance was not required.




West Mercia Police believe that the car was being driven by a female driver, along with a female passenger.

Officers are now appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or has information relating to the registration of the car involved, to come forward.


Police are also urging the driver of the car to come forward to help them establish the circumstances involving the incident.

Witnesses or the driver of the car should contact West Mercia Police on 101, quoting incident number 684s of Wednesday, November 15 2017.
