A MAN was airlifted to hospital yesterday (Sunday) after suffering from a cardiac arrest whilst cycling.
Paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service were called to Greenhill at about 9.59am.
The male cyclist was given CPR and advanced life support and paramedics successfully managed to restart his heart.
However, because he fell of his bike, paramedics were concerned about the other injuries he had suffered and so he was anaesthetised at the scene.
He was then airlifted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham by the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford.
The Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham was also in attendance together with an ambulance, a rapid response paramedic and a paramedic area support officer.
