THE CURTAIN will come down on free outdoor cinema screenings across Wychavon this weekend with events in Pershore and Evesham.
It is the third year running Wychavon has funded the screenings and the line-up of family-friendly films is the most exciting yet.
Shown on a 10ft inflatable screen, visitors will be able to sit back and relax as they enjoy watching recent box office hit Sing 2, Disney’s animated musical phenomenon Encanto and much-loved classic Mamma Mia!
Encanto will be shown at Abbey Park in Pershore tonight (Friday) while the screenings will come to a close when Sing 2 is shown at Corporation Meadow in Evesham tomorrow (Saturday).
Coun Mark Ward, executive board member for Economic Growth and Tourism on Wychavon District Council, said: “What better way to mark the end of the school holidays than sitting outside in one of
Wychavon’s beautiful parks or other outdoor spaces and enjoying the outdoor cinema experience. And entry is free so why not watch more than one?”
All showings start at 8pm to allow for light levels to drop low enough for films to be visible.
Screenings are dependent on the weather. Please check the Worcestershire Vale and Spa Facebook page in case of late changes to events.
