THE POPULAR Evesham River Festival starts today (Saturday)- with crowds set to enjoy the spectacular illuminated boat parade and firework display.
The weekend of events offcially kicks off at 11am this morning with the Chairman of Wychavon District Council, Coun Frances Smith, officially opening the festival.
There’ll be a host of activities throughout the day, including a water zorb display, a demonstration by local raft race teams and live music from Ryan Corbett.
At 1.45pm there is set to be a flyover by the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.
And the crowds along the River Avon are set to be wowed as the day culminates with the illuminated boat display at 10pm, followed by a spectacular firework display at 10.30pm.
