THE WARM May Bank Holiday weekend ensured a bumper attendance at this year’s Cropthorne Walkabout.
Organisers are celebrating after the ever popular event once again pulled in the crowds who took to the streets to see what the delightful Vale village had to offer.
The 43rd staging of the walkabout offered fun for all the family with a host of activities on offer for young and old.
A number of residents gardens were open to the public while a flower festival was in full bloom at Cropthorne’s Norman church.
Stalls were on offer in the village hall as well as classic cars, a teddy bear hunt and children dancing around the Maypole.
One of the most exciting events was the chance for visitors to jump aboard one of two steam locomotives provided by Bluebell Railway.
The event is once again expected to have raised cash for the parish church and other local organisations
