A FORD Escort collided with a lorry on the A46 in Ashton Under Hill this morning (Tuesday).
West Mercia Police are appealing for witnesses after the incident which happened at around 5.40am today (Tuesday) when a red Ford Escort, travelling towards Evesham, collided with a heavy goods vehicle, travelling in the opposite direction.
The driver of the Escort, a woman in her 50s, sustained serious injuries which are not believed to be life threatening. The HGV driver was not injured.
Police are eager to establish the circumstances of the collision and ask anyone who witnessed it to contact 101, quoting incident 65S of Tuesday 7 July.
