AN ANNUAL craft fair in aid of Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Cotswold RDA raised a staggering £1,974 to top £30,000 raised since the event began nearly 20 years ago.
Cosy Hearts Crafts held the event at Leedons Park in Broadway and welcomed a collection of different crafters displaying their wares, including wood products, hand knitted toys, cosmetics, jewellery and Christmas cards.
Organiser Mandy Edwards said:
“Over the last 19 years, we have fund-raised for Birmingham Children’s Hospital as our daughter, Bethan, received lifesaving care from them throughout her young life.
“Bethan, 19, now enjoys horse riding at Cotswold RDA, so we decided to split the money between the two charities.
“We would like to thank everybody who came along to the event
Together with other fund-raising from craft events and the sale of plants, Cosy Heart Crafts is on target to handover a cheque for more than £1,300 to both charities in the new year.
