AN extra £649,200 is set to be spent on boosting cycling and walking infrastructure in Worcestershire.
This cash is part of the government’s £2billion investment announced earlier this year.
Worcestershire County Council will likely use it to fund segregated cycle lanes and School Street initiatives which are roads outside a school with a temporary restriction on motorised traffic at school drop-off and pick-up times.
In total, £175 million is being allocated to councils across England in the latest round of allocations from the fund.
