WORCESTERSHIRE County Council has won the West Midlands energy efficiency award for the second year in a row.
The award recognised the councils work promoting energy efficiency within its area such as Solar Together, the Household Support Fund, Home Upgrade Grant Scheme.
The council received the award for regional council or local authority body of the year on Thursday, February, 29
Coun Richard Morris, Worcestershire county council’s cabinet member for environment, said: “This is a fantastic achievement and testament to the hard work and dedication that the team put in to promote energy efficiency in the county.
“It’s great that we’ve been recognised at this level again, following winning the same award last year.
“It shows just how much we’re doing to implement energy efficiency measures in Worcestershire.”
