THERE’S a very important competition taking place over the next couple of weeks – yes that’s right, the Evesham and Pershore Observer Baby Photo Competition 2017.
The competition will once again see hundreds of bonny babies and handsome toddlers photographed and entered into the contest absolutely free of charge, as well giving parents the chance to take away some professional prints at very reasonable prices.
Experienced professional portrait photographer Andrea Powell, who has helped us run the competition very successfully for a number of years, will again set up her mobile studio in the Riverside Shopping Centre, Evesham, from Monday, May 29 to Wednesday, June 7.
Simply take your baby or toddler – up to the age of 36 months – along to her from 9.30am to 4.30pm on any of those days except Sunday (June 4). No appointment is necessary.
She will take a selection of professional photos of your child absolutely free of charge.
After the pictures are taken you will be asked back a few days later to choose which print is to be entered into the competition.
You will also be given the opportunity to buy a selection of the prints taken at an extremely competitive price, but you’re under no obligation whatsoever to do this.
All children photographed will have the chance to be entered into the competition, and that doesn’t cost a thing.
Prizes will be awarded in two categories 0 to 17 months, and 18 to 36 months.
First prize in each category is an enormous 24in x 20in framed canvas wall portrait of your child (worth at least £200).
After all the photographs have been taken and selected, the Observer will shortlist entries in each age group.
We will publish those shortlisted, all in full colour, and readers will be able to vote for the winners.
Please note the judges’ decision on shortlisting is final, and no correspondence whatsoever will be entered into with regard to the reasons for choosing, or not choosing, any particular picture(s).
Employees of Bullivant Media Ltd and their families are not eligible to enter.
