NEW life is being breathed into Evesham’s popular Charter Market after the Town Council joined forces with a new management team to re-launch the market.
The exciting re-launch will see LSD Promotions take over the day-to-day management of the market and use their 25 years experience to help promote and grow it.
As part of the re-launch on Tuesday, June 6, Evesham Town Council has bought new pop-up gazebo stalls to bring a refreshed look to the town centre market. The stalls will be in the town’s colours of yellow and blue and will be in place for both the Tuesday and Saturday markets.
Currently, LSD Promotions manage markets in Stratford-upon-Avon, Worcester and Oxford and have said they aim to bring their expertise to Evesham’s re-launched Charter Market.
Mayor of Evesham, Coun Richard Jones, said the new market will have a positive effect on the town centre.
“The Town Plan highlighted residents desire to see the Charter Market retained and improved as a priority, and this is a big step in realising this,” he said.
“The Town Council hope that by partnering up with a company with the experience of LSD Promotions and the Council’s investment in new stalls, it will attract new market traders and new customers, which in turn will have a positive effect for the town centre.
“One thing is for sure, you will see an instant change when the stalls are set up on the morning of June 6.
“It is another vote of confidence in the town centre following on from the opening of the Valkyrie, and imminent opening of Loungers and Katie’s in the Market Place and it is an exciting new start for the markets in Evesham.”
