A NEW leader of Wychavon District Council will be elected this evening.
Council chiefs will attend a special meeting on Wednesday (November 7) to rubber stamp an appointment to take the council into May’s elections.
The vacancy arose after Coun Linda Robinson revealed last week she would stand down six months before the end of her four-year term of office.
Coun Lynne Duffy has served as acting leader and a new leader will be asked to appoint a deputy and an executive board.
