I CAN’T believe 2014 is almost over!
I’m not sure where the year has gone and when I look back on all I have done and been to, I find it even harder to believe I fitted it all in.
I am now almost two thirds of my way through my Mayoral year, that like 2014 has gone in a flash.
I have had the joy and pleasure of meeting many people, learning about new and old community groups, participating in key events of the town and generally meeting and engaging with people on a day-to-day basis.
2014 has been an important year for the whole of the UK and Evesham, but 2015 is a really important year to Evesham: We will mark the 750th anniversary of the Battle of Evesham in which Simon de Montfort was killed.
More widely, we celebrate 800 years of the Magna Carta.
I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
