Could you become an exam invigilator and help WCG

Evesham Editorial 8th Apr, 2022   0

A LEADING college group in Warwickshire and Worcestershire is looking to recruit 40 new members of staff in time for exam season.

WCG (formerly Warwickshire College Group) is gearing up for a busy period of assessment and exams, with new staff required at Rugby College, Royal Leamington Spa College, Evesham College, Moreton Morrell College, Warwick Trident College and Pershore College.

The college group runs A-Level and GCSE exams throughout the summer but as the curriculum expands is increasingly running exams across the calendar year.

This means that the college group is looking to appoint a group of permanent zero-hour exam invigilators to support with demand.

Exam invigilators have a key role in upholding the integrity and security of the assessment process.

They will also be asked to work as scribes or readers for individuals who need support during their exams.

WCG will provide core training with successful applicants, including relevant online invigilator training and assessment for the academic year.

Elise Lamberton, recruitment manager at WCG, said: “After a couple of disrupted years of exams and assessments, we are now back to our normal programme and as such need the support of 40 new exam invigilators across our colleges.

“This is the most exam invigilators we have ever needed to recruit and we’re already seeing plenty of applicants for the positions.

“It’s a great opportunity for an individual to earn some extra money and support the education of young people across Warwickshire and Worcestershire.

“While it is a zero hour contract, these are permanent positions and the successful applicants will be called upon throughout the year to support with the delivery of examinations.”
