A RALLYING call for Pershore charities who would like to be chosen to benefit from the town’s 2016 carnival has been issued.
The call came after organisers held their AGM and presentation night at Pershore Sports Club on July 20.
Certificates were presented to those who took part in the procession and cheques presented to the two chosen charities for 2015, Pershore Swimming Club and Pershore Scout Hut Appeal.
The total collection was £1,620 meaning representatives from each charity were presented with cheques for £810 each.
The Carnival AGM took place after the presentations and Colin Shepherd was appointed again as Chairman for 2016, along with the rest of last years committee members also being re-elected.
Four new committee members have also joined and organisers have already held their first meeting to plan the 2016 event.
