Consultation launched to understand local policing concerns in Pershore

Evesham Editorial 1st Jul, 2023   0

A BESPOKE consultation funded by the Police Crime Commissioner John Campion has been launched in Pershore, following the response at last month’s Community Conversation event.

SMSR, a research and analyst company, is currently contacting residents over the phone and at face-to-face sessions.

As the voice of the public in policing, the PCC wants to hear from a wide range of people who live in and around Pershore on their views, experiences and confidence in West Mercia Police.

The consultation is part of the PCC’s commitment to address policing concerns and ensure the views of residents across Pershore are listened to and acted on – as set out in his Safer West Mercia Plan.

PCC John Campion said: “I am listening and delivering on your calls to galvanise change in Pershore. If you are contacted by SMSR, please take part in the consultation as every response will highlight where you want to see improvements and also help me to understand where your local policing team are doing really good work.

“This is the first consultation, with another one set to take place in October before I host a follow-up Community Conversation event in November.

“Over the course of the next five months, I will continue to visit the town to see the work of your local policing team while supporting and challenging the Chief Constable to ensure further improvements are made.”

The next Community Conversation event in the town will be taking place on Wednesday, November 15 at Pershore Town Hall from 6pm to 8pm.
