THE OWNERS of a working cocker who went missing a month ago have thanked the community for their efforts after his body was discovered.

Ernest was found in the river near Fladbury on Boxing Day to bring a heartbreaking end to the search which beganĀ on November 27 when he went missing by the Jubilee Bridge in Fladbury

He was one and a half years old with a black coat with white chest and paws. He had a partially docked tail and was wearing a red collar with a tag.

Owner Rachel Franey said on Twitter: “We are devastated but find strength in all those people who helped us.

“I would like to offer a huge heartfelt thank you to everyone from the local community who lent us a helping hand over the past month.
