A FESTIVE lunch for older people in Evesham to promote companionship and togetherness during the Christmas season has proved a big hit.
Richmond Villages Wood Norton partnered with Age UK Wyvern to host a complimentary meal for its residents and members of the local community on December 16.
The event, held at the village’s main restaurant, welcomed guests for a three-course meal, complete with Christmas decorations and live music to get everyone in the festive spirit.
It offered people an opportunity to enjoy good company and conversation, at a time of year that can feel isolating for many in a warm and lively atmosphere.
James Culley, village manager, at Richmond Villages Wood Norton, said: “Our team and residents were keen to promote companionship and togetherness through this event, so were proud to partner with Age UK Wyvern.
“We know it can be difficult for those who find themselves spending this time of year on their own, so we were thrilled to see a fantastic turnout from the community.
“There was laughter and smiling everywhere you looked. We look forward to supporting and welcoming members of our local community in future initiatives.”
Richmond Villages Wood Norton welcomes all stages of living from independent and assisted living apartments to a dedicated on-site care home offering both short and long-term care.
