THE EFFORTS of organisations and individuals across Pershore have been highlighted as part of an award scheme.
The Pershore Plus Volunteer Centre’s Inspire Awards were held at the town’s Banking Hall.
The Inspire Awards are named in honour of the core values which define Pershore Plus’ mission.
These include inclusivity, nurturing, sustainability, professionalism, integrity, resilience and empathy.
The organisers have extended their thanks to each nominee for their dedication and passion.
The award winners
Among the winners were Derek Potter who received the Long Service Award for the years he has supported the community with a social car service.
Jess Ingram from Riverside Youth was awarded Young Volunteer of the Year and Teddie Goddard won Volunteer Fundraiser of the Year for his outstanding efforts raising cash for Midlands Air Ambulance.
Pershore Town Football Club’s coaches accepted the award for Volunteer Team of the Year for their work ethic and dedication to young players.
And John Payne from Pershore Heritage Centre was awarded the Special Achievement Award for the significant impact he has had on recruiting volunteers.
