SOUTH Worcestershire College is getting set to unveil a new Business Centre to meet the training needs of employers in Worcestershire.
The new @Business Centre which is housed within a separate building on the College’s Evesham campus will be officially opened by Evesham MP Sir Peter Luff today (Friday).
Since its establishment last year, the @Business Team have secured a number of European Social Fund bids which has become the catalyst for free and bespoke training for the local business community.
Perry Perrott, the college’s Director of Business Development said: “We have been fortunate to secure a number of contracts which has enabled us to form close partnerships with local companies and provide them with the training to meet their
business needs.
“With the increase in demand for training it became clear that the local area was lacking a dedicated business training centre.”
The new @Business Training Centre which has been supported by Worcester Bosch Ltd will encompass the existing Energy Training Centre and build upon its successes in servicing the local and regional business community.
The college hopes that the new training centre will raise awareness of the @Business Dept. at South Worcestershire College being one of the leading business training facilities in the county and act as the local business community’s first point of call for all of their training needs.
