STUDENTS at Evesham and Pershore College were among those celebrating last week after recording top marks in their BTEC results.

Animal lover and Pershore College student Rebecca Cole has moved a step closer to turning passion into profession, after achieving top marks.

The 18-year-old is eyeing a career caring for animals after obtaining three Distinction*s in Animal Management.

Rebecca, from Redditch, faced challenges while completing her course but has come through them with flying colours – receiving the best possible grades.

“I’m not only really excited but am very pleased. I’ve had a really good week, firstly spending some quality time with my new Border Collie and now getting my dream grades,” she said.

“At one point, I wasn’t even sure if I’d be able to finish the course – but I’ve proven to myself that all my hard work was worth it.

“Animals are my passion, and the Animal Management course at Pershore College was the perfect course for me. I know I definitely want to work with animals and am keen to explore my options in the sector and start working as soon as possible.”

All roads lead to university for a student who’s leaving Evesham College with distinction.

Chloe Evans, 19, was awarded three Distinction*s in Level 3 Graphic Design with Photography.  The Evesham teenager now plans to go through clearing and secure her spot at university.

She has her eyes set on a three-year Digital Media course at the University of Worcester, which would enable her to travel to and from her studies from her family home.

“I really enjoyed the course as I got into it straight away and invested in my learning, which has obviously worked out really well,” she said.

“It was challenging at times but I went with the ride and it paid off. In all honesty, I’m absolutely delighted.

“It’s an exciting time for me and I plan to go with the flow and throw myself into anything of interest that comes my way.”
