A FUND-RAISER in memory of a former Prince Henry’s High School student who died following a motorbike accident has been revealed.

Daniel Cracknell was a student at the Victoria Avenue school from 2015 to 2020 and went on to earn an apprenticeship with the Williams Formula One team.

No further details have been released regarding the accident which claimed his life.

His devastated father Andew has started a collection as a tribute to his son to raise vital funds for the Salvation Army and Worcestershire brain injury charity Headway.

Colleagues at his employer Polestar have lent their support and are in contact with the family to offer support.

Writing on the page, Dominic Brown said: “Daniel’s passing came without warning, and has taken a very bright and intelligent young man at early stage of his promising career.

“Daniel was part way through his technical apprenticeship at Williams F1 team and leaves behind his girlfriend Lois.

“If you would like to make a donation to this page, please do so, and I will then pass on the donations and any messages to Andy and his family as a combined total from Polestar colleagues.

“At the moment, the best thing we can do is show our deepest support to the Cracknell’s, and ensure that Andy knows that the whole Polestar family is thinking of him.

After leaving the Evesham school. Dan gained an apprenticeship at the Williams Formula One team in their Prototype and Test department.

Flags at the Williams site were at half-mast in his memory and the team staff wore black armbands at the season-ending Grand Prix in Abu Dhabi while the race cars also bore his name.
