PERSHORE Abbey and St Nicholas’ in Pinvin will be opening their doors to welcome all of those taking part in this year’s Ride and Stride.
Tomorrow’s (Saturday) bike ride is an annual sponsored event where cyclists all round the country raise money for their local County Historic Churches Trust. It is the main source of income for the Trust, enabling it to make grants to churches in need.
Money for raised locally will be shared equally between the Worcestershire and Dudley Historic Churches Trust and the place of worship nominated by the cyclist.
In the 25 years since the churches in the county have been involved, more than 200 have received grants for building repairs or fabric improvement.
