Christmas greetings from the Mayor of Pershore

Evesham Editorial 25th Dec, 2018   0

THE CHRISTMAS season is with us once again and Pershore is ablaze with its Christmas lights heralding in the season of goodwill.

The Christmas tree is standing proud in the centre of town and all we need now is a dusting of snow to complete the scene. Away from all the commercialisation of Christmas, which only lasts a few weeks, we hope you all enjoy some special time with your families who are there all year round.

We should also spare a thought at this time for the homeless and those who will be spending Christmas alone. If you have a neighbour living alone, why not pop round and wish them a Happy Christmas, I am sure you would be made most welcome.

Soon we will be looking forward to the New Year and all it has to offer. Once all the parties are over it will be time to settle back into our daily routines. We should all be grateful we live in a country where we have freedom of speech and are free to come and go as we please.

We should also remind ourselves of how fortunate we are to live in a town like Pershore with its friendly faces and individual shops.

We send everyone our warmest greetings for a very Happy Christmas and New Year.
