Christmas and new year refuse and recycling changes for the Vale

THERE are a number of changes to refuse and recycling collections in Evesham and Pershore over Christmas and new year.

Those due to have their bins collected today (Friday) will have them collected tomorrow.

There will be no collections on Christmas Day so residents who usually have their bins emptied on Monday will have theirs collected on Wednesday (December 27).

Boxing Day collections which would have been carried out on Tuesday, December 26, will now be on Friday, December 29, and those who would have had their bins collected on Thursday, December 28, will have theirs done next Saturday (December 30).

Collections which would have been due on New Year’s Day next Monday will have theirs emptied two days later on Wednesday, January 3.

Refuse collections due to take place on January 2, 3 and 4, will all be held two days later – on January 4, 5 and 6 respectively.

January 5 (Friday) collections will be collected on January 8 (Monday).

That week, those due to have their bins collected on the Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday (January 8 to 12) will all have theirs done a day later.

From Wednesday, December 27 to January 8 will be able to leave out extra recycling in clear sacks if they are left out on the relevant recycling day. There will be a maximum of two refuse sacks per household collected in addition to the normal bin load.

Clear sacks can be collected from customer contact centres across Wychavon District.
