A LEADING dementia charity is among the recipients from a caring Vale village.
Alzheimer’s Research UK was given £185 from a village Christmas Fayre at Abbots Morton Village Hall, the second such event to be held there for the charity.
Zoe Baggott, regional fund-raising officer for Alzheimer’s Research UK, said: “We’re so grateful to Abbots Morton village hall for supporting Alzheimer’s Research UK once again.
“Dementia affects a significant proportion of the population – one in three people more than 65 in the UK will die with some form of the condition.
“Fantastic fund-raising efforts like this will help us to make life-changing research breakthroughs for people with dementia.”
