AN AWARD-WINNING catering firm in Pershore have been awarded the contract to provide food and drink at the café at Wychavon District Council’s headquarters.

Craig and Rachael Etherington who own The Deli @ Pershore have taken on the contract to run the café at the council’s Civic Centre for the next three years.

The pair have been running their High Street business for two years now and also supply school meals to Abbey Park First School.

The concession will be rebranded ‘The Café @ Wychavon’ and will provide a range of food and snacks for meetings and

events at the Civic Centre.

Mr Etherington said: “We’re really looking forward to taking over the contract at the Civic Centre. There are lots of things we’re going to change and we pride ourselves on fresh, locally sourced food.

“The main users of the café are staff and visitors from Wychavon and Pershore Hospital and we’ll do our utmost to keep them well fed and served quickly!”

Dana Coulson, administrative supervisor for Wychavon, added: “We’ve been really impressed with the quality and presentation of their (Craig and Rachael’s food, and their ideas for the café area. “Staff are certainly looking forward to them starting.”
