A CELEBRATION for all the family will be held in Workman Gardens to mark the Pentecost.
Members of the ten churches which make up Churches Together in Evesham and District will celebrate on Sunday (June 9) with a service at 11.30am followed by a barbecue lunch and fun and games for children including bouncy castles, face painting and traditional games.
This is the fourth year the churches have celebrated this way remembering the time when the disciples of Jesus were given the gift of the Holy Spirit following his ascension. On that day they went out into Jerusalem and preached the gospel which led to more than 3,000 people becoming believers.
All are welcome to come and join with the churches to celebrate whether they are church members or not.
