Former chair of governors, John Bateman OBE, will receive both an Honorary Doctorate and a University Fellowship.

Graduates will be joined by their families and friends for a special service in the cathedral before a reception at the university’s City Campus.

University of Worcester vice chancellor and chief executive, Professor David Green CBE DL, said: “We are delighted to be able to welcome back our graduates of 2022 to celebrate their many achievements.

“Many of these graduates began their studies shortly before the Covid-19 pandemic hit and caused such significant disruption and worse. All our graduates have shown remarkable resilience and determination to complete their studies. We are very proud of their hard work in earning their degrees and, in many cases, professional qualifications.”
