A FREE PANTOMINE is on the cards this Christmas as the young Festival Players take to the stage for their performace of Dick Whittington and His Cat at Evesham town hall.
Stars of the future will tread the boards for the one-hour special on Friday, December 13 with no interval, plenty of comic characters, a King Rat to boo, Dick Whittington to cheer and maybe an exploding sausage or two.
The show has been specially written – and shortened – to be performed the day before (December 12) for the residents of Bricklehampton Care Home, where senior care assistant Rob Brown will play Dame Sarah herself.
Organisers have paid tribute to Evesham Town Council and members of Evesham Operatic and Dramatic Society (EODS) for the hire of their rehearsal space.
The curtain will go up on Dick Whittington and His Cat from 6.30pm and tickets are available from The Almonry or director Eric Jones on 01386 48788.
